OD is a powerful application with options to fit almost any scenario. But, its best features often go unused. In eight years of working with OpenDeploy, I’ve seen many of the same questions and issues arise with every customer. In this session, we’ll unravel the complexity and explore the most frequent misunderstandings about capabilities, configuration, and problem determination.

Rob is a co-worker of mine, who’s on our Interwoven team. I’ve seen his OpenDeploy presentation a couple times and it’s definitely worth checking out.

Very sorry about the slowness this site is exibiting. It’s been under preforming for some time and I’ve tried to work with it, but recently I’ve found it to be almost unusable, if not effectivly down. Yesterday I was writing an RSS reader and spent a bunch of time trying to find what I thought was an endless loop in my logic. Turned out the problem was just that I was using the feed from this site which was taking several minutes to return.

I’ve purchased some new hosting space though (on a more highly rated provider), hopefully that will cure my woes. I’ll be migrating everything over the next few days and with any luck it will be a seamless process.

Welcome to ContentOnContentManagement.com. My name is David Roe and this is the first post of the new site. If you’ve been here before(odds are you haven’t), you may noticed the significant change in format. Originally I was hoping to set up a more traditional full featured site, teaming up with several contributors. That initial and probably idealistic idea never really panned out, but I did have the opportunity to install and tinker with a variety of open-source content management systems and web site frameworks. In the end I’ve decided my best bet was go with a blog format, which is where we are today.

The theme of the blog will be Content Management, Content Management Systems, Integration with Content Management Systems as well as anything else I might feel like writing about(expect some football posts). I hope to keep most of the posts fairly technical in nature, with lots of sample code. My biggest reason for starting this site is that I spend quite a bit of time tinkering and various programs that I usually just stash it away. This site is my opportunity to put some of that code out there and see what others think.
